If you received an alert in QuickBooks Online's banking center stating "Error 324," your automated bank feed integration is broken. The following steps will show you how to fix this error so you can resume the transaction import.

How to fix QuickBooks Online Error 324

With Error 324 Alert Message

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online company account.

  2. Click on All Apps from the left-hand navigation panel, go to Accounting, then choose Bank transactions.

  3. Select the Fix Now link on the error alert, then proceed with the prompts to enter your online banking credentials.

Without Error 324 Alert Message

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online company account.

  2. Click on All Apps from the left-hand navigation panel, go to Accounting, then choose Bank transactions.

  3. Select the bank account that has a broken bank feed connection, then click the pencil icon.

  4. Click the Edit account sign in link.

  5. Enter your online banking credentials, select the account that matches the GL account you're syncing. (Note: This is an example. Your respective financial institution will appear.)

  6. Accept the sync authorization prompt to give QuickBooks read-only access to your bank activity.

You'll be redirected to QuickBooks Online, where you should see the sync icon spinning. Give it a few minutes to import the missing transactions. Depending on how long the bank feed connection was broken, some transactions may not auto-import. We recommend that you reconcile the account to make sure all activity is posted to the books.
